Description

 

The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for supporting and administering compensation programs. This role ensures data accuracy, program integrity, and regulatory compliance while acting as a key liaison between Human Resources, Enterprise Business Systems, and Information Technology teams. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics HRIS and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps. Power Automate, and Power BI), be highly capable in working within HRIS systems, possess strong technical skills and financial acumen, and excel in data analysis.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end management of the annual compensation cycle (merit, promotion, bonus), including program setup, eligibility tracking, data loading, and reporting in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the HRIS system.
  • Partner with Finance and Payroll to administer the annual merit cycle and short-term incentive (STI) program, including tracking eligibility, processing payouts, and providing budget recommendations.
  • Maintain and update the company’s compensation philosophy, strategy, job architecture, and titling standards to ensure internal equity, career pathing, and market competitiveness.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate job descriptions for all positions, ensuring alignment with industry titles, benchmarks, and internal standards, utilizing the Payfactors system.
  • Participate in annual salary surveys, upload survey data into Microsoft Dynamics 365, adjust pay ranges as needed, and conduct annual benchmarking for all job titles.
  • Administer compensation programs in compliance with company guidelines, SOX controls, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., FLSA, EEO, minimum wage, pay transparency).
  • Document and maintain all compensation governance, processes, and procedures, including a comprehensive process manual.
  • Serve as an administrator for the Total Rewards software platform, updating and maintaining all related content.
  • Develop and deliver enterprise-wide training and communications for leaders and employees on compensation programs and practices.
  • Prepare and present compensation and job analysis reports to senior management, providing insights to remain competitive in the market.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and leaders to address compensation issues, conduct calibration sessions, analyze compensation data, and implement company-wide compensation initiatives.
  • Monitor and maintain security protocols and user access for compensation-related systems, ensuring proper controls and compliance.
  • Stay current on best practices and emerging trends in compensation, benefits, rewards, and performance management, recommending enhancements as needed.
  • Provide support for special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep understanding of compensation best practices and the regulations that guide them (FLSA, EEO, pay transparency, etc.).
  • Proven, hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 HRIS and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • A knack for working within HRIS systems — from configuration to data accuracy — to keep programs running smoothly.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel and data visualization expertise to bring numbers to life.
  • Experience using salary surveys and benchmarking to keep pay competitive in the market.
  • Project management skills that keep multiple priorities on track and on time.
  • Clear and confident communication skills — equally comfortable with executives, managers, and team members.

Education and Certificates

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (required).
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) – WorldatWork (preferred).
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) – HRCI or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP (preferred).
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals or Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (preferred).
  • Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience will be considered.

Physical Requirements

  • Physical Work Requirements - Light: exerting up to 15 lbs of force occasionally.
  • Repetitive motion associated with operating various types of equipment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
