Job Title: Business Analyst
Description:
The Business Analyst oversees the selection, implementation, maintenance, and operation of one to two significant size systems or one to four small systems.
Job Responsibilities
Process Analysis and Improvement: Identifies, manages, and monitors business processes and then works with related business process owners to improve them.
Project Management: When designated, acts in the role of a project manager for projects related to the selection, implementation, improvement, and maintenance of systems in support of a business process or set of business processes.
Implementation Management: Develops a system implementation plan including working with company leadership to determine the timing, pace, method of the change.
System Expertise Development: Identifies and develops a set of Power Users who are, or become, experts in administering and using the system to conduct business. Ensures appropriate training is held to maintain this expertise.
System Utilization: Drives, monitors and reports on the effective use of the system to conduct business in the context of an established set of utilization/performance metrics.
System Security: Ensures the system is properly secured in terms of system breach/compromise prevention, monitoring, and incident response planning.
System Cost Management: Monitors, reports on, and manages system support costs. Works to hold support costs to a minimum while providing maximum value.
Customer Satisfaction: Monitors, reports on, and manages customer satisfaction in using the system to address business needs.
User Training: In the context of the initial implementation and ongoing utilization, ensures appropriate power user and user training is planned and provided to maximize system value in the context of business process.
System Value Proposition: Monitors and reports on system value in support of related business processes. Determines if continued ownership/use is justified.
Systems Installation:
Works as a member of the project team in the installation of selected technical systems and solutions.
Works with EBS, IT infrastructure, and IT platform services teams to integrate assigned systems as needed.
Documents as-built systems architecture and related standard operating procedures prior to production.
Works with IT support personnel to ensure they have the training and tools to support assigned systems prior to production.
Systems Management:
Conducts regular systems health reviews to identify possible issues before they occur.
Monitors systems performance for potential problems and proactively addresses them to prevent outages.
Keeps system components current and running efficiently and effectively.
Keeps system technical documentation and support knowledge base articles current.
Systems Support:
Supports the vendor relationship for an assigned set of systems.

Education and Certificates:
High School Diploma or GED
2 – 4 years of related experience.
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work, requiring lifting up to 10lbs.
Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment.
Inside, climate-controlled working conditions.
