Job Title: Network & Cloud Engineering Manager
Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network and Cloud Engineering Manager to lead our infrastructure team. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of our global network and cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across all systems.
Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of network and cloud engineers.
Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure network and cloud architecture.
Oversee the deployment and maintenance of firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers, SASE, and SD-WAN solutions.
Oversee ongoing acquisitions and infrastructure implementations.
Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.
Collaborate with Security, Platform Engineering, Architecture, and Business Application teams to support hybrid cloud environments.
Build strategic cloud resources and mentor team members.
Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements (SLAs).
Monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot issues.
Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure and processes.
Develop strategies to prepare for future modernization and design initiatives.
Drive automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) initiatives.
Organize business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing.
Differentiating Skills and Capabilities:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience: 7+ years of experience in network, security, or cloud engineering, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of networking protocols, cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), and security frameworks.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in related infrastructure engineering technologies as listed above (Azure Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect, Network+, etc.)
Preferred Experience:
Technical System Selection: Experience in deploying and managing multiple identity systems.
Engineering and Implementation: Proven track record of engineering and implementing IT solutions in a complex environment.
Skill: Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and SASE.
