JOB TITLE: Financial Analyst
JOB LOCATION: Orem, UT
FUNCTION: The Financial Analyst supports the Finance Manager by providing detailed financial analysis, data-driven insights, and forecasting to inform business planning and strategic decision-making. This role helps translate operational data into actionable recommendations that align with the company’s goals and priorities.
REPORTING TO: Finance Manager
KEY ACTIVITIES:
Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values;
Assist with the preparation of the planning process including long-range plans, annual operating budgets, forecasts and risks, and opportunities for business partners;
Perform actual results variance analysis vs. budget analysis forecast;
Help establish standard costs for budgeting and management of P&Ls to help drive financial accountability and insight;
Analyze and track against strategic initiatives, including discounted cash flow models and expected outcomes;
Perform financial analysis in Excel and other software, including trend analysis and forward-looking projections with sensitivity analysis
Perform monthly/weekly tasks as assigned
Prepare reports for rates, CAPEX, acquisitions, etc.
Work closely with operational counterparts to provide them with ad hoc analysis as needed
Support centralized management in providing detailed reports as needed
Create presentation materials in Power Point, Adobe, and other software programs to fit the brand of the company and presentation objective and audience
Perform other duties as required
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
High moral and ethical standards;
Effectively communicate financial information and understand the activities of non-financial functions;
Strong computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel;
Highly organized and detail-oriented;
Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles and practices, and financial forecasting;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Financial modeling skills, especially in Microsoft Excel;
Demonstrated experience using business models, budget comparisons, and forecasting;
Ability to create and give effective presentations;
Highly organized and able to work well under pressure.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’ degree in accounting, finance, or related field;
3-5 years previous accounting or finance experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sedentary work, requiring regular lifting up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds;
Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment
Inside, climate-controlled working conditions, seated at a desk for extended periods of time;
Some travel required to project sites and trainings and meetings;
May require working long hours occasionally during high deliverable periods.
