JOB TITLE: Facilities Intern
FUNCTION: As a Facilities Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to various day to day aspects of facilities operations across all of Clyde Companies and its subsidiaries. Under the guidance of our experienced facilities management team, you will assist in maintaining the functionality, safety, and cleanliness of our facilities. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to learn about facility management practices, operational procedures, and the importance of creating a conducive work environment.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
- Assist in conducting regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and cleanliness standards.
- Support the implementation of preventive maintenance programs for equipment and systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for repair and maintenance projects, including obtaining quotes, scheduling services, and overseeing work quality.
- Aid in the management of facility-related documentation, including maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records.
- Assist in coordinating office moves, renovations, and space utilization projects as needed.
- Support the facilities management team in other administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, Teams, SharePoint, and accounting software.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong interest in facilities management, operations, or related disciplines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Prior internship or work experience in facilities management, construction or a related field is a plus.
- Proficiency in operation and maintaining a variety of tools including but not limited to power tools, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, pliers, sanders etc.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Moderate work; exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally.
- Able to work in the field with facilities maintenance crew performing manual labor.
- Stamina to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in various indoor and outdoor environments and in different weather conditions.
Duration and Compensation:
- This is a 3-6-month internship position with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
